Our founder, Katie, completed a rigorous six year program at the University of Texas at Austin to earn her B. Architecture + B.S. Architectural Engineering degrees. After graduation she earned her EIT (engineer-in-training) certificate and spent several years collaborating with architects on high profile international projects. While in this role, she became an expert in 3D modeling and visual communication.
She now uses this expertise and her design background to elevate professional organizing services to a new level. As part of our services, we create suggested layouts for your home in 2D and/or 3D, complete with product recommendations, so you can visualize your finished space. You’ll love the level of detail and thoughtfulness that goes into your plans, plus you’ll have a smooth experience because you’ll know what results to expect. No surprises here!

Hi, I’m Katie! I own a professional home organization business serving Austin, TX and Bethesda, MD. It’s called Settled In Soundly because that’s how I believe everyone should feel in their home.
I believe organizing has the power to transform not only spaces, but also lives, and I love being a partner on the journey! I feel fortunate to be a professional organizer because clients tell me I bring them relief from feeling overwhelmed by their cluttered spaces.
My approach to organizing is centered around finding the best solution for you and your lifestyle. I love using my background in architecture and architectural engineering (hook ‘em!) to design custom home organization systems and inspire clients with the potential of their houses in 3D.
